Project Horizon
Norwich, UK

Project outline
The Project brought together the business and occupational needs of Norwich Union, the UK’s No1 General Insurance Company with the property know how of Land Securities Trillium recognised as the UK’s leading property company under a land mark sale and lease back deal.
Project Horizon encompasses major redevelopment and remodelling of seven interlinked reinforced concrete tower blocks to improve access, circulation, environment, connectivity and aesthetic appeal. In addition to a new fully glazed enclosed entrance, modifications to the building envelope include new stairs, bridge links, plant areas, new lifts and roof insulation.
Over a net lettable floor area of 400,000ft², key to the development of the design and specification is whole lifecycle costing in order to minimise the overall cost and maximise efficiency over the building life.
